2024 Chapter President
What a Year! When your FRSHRM Board met in December 2023, we had great discussion about our operations, old and new roles, and our overall goals for the year. Of course, we wanted to provide relevant and helpful programming to our members, while continuing to expand our reach across Western KY. When I think back over the last year, the word that comes to mind is … WOW!
It has been such a joy working with our Board, watching them use their talents to help accomplish our vision. Like you, they are dedicated to excellence in their work and in helping the chapter continue our success. Their volunteer efforts keep us moving forward, and I can’t wait to see what is in store for 2025.
To our members, THANK YOU for being a part of Four Rivers SHRM. I’ve loved meeting you at our in-person events or through other community involvement activities. I’m cheering you on when I see announcements about your organizations in the media. And I hope you will help us continue to strengthen the HR community in WKY in future years. We want you as a part of our community, we need you for our continued success, and we see the hard work you are doing for your organizations. Keep at it, and we are here to support you!
Finally, as I look back on 2024, we can all be very proud of our SHRM Platinum Excel Award (indicating successful completion of 5 initiatives) and our SHRM Pinnacle Award (awarded to the #1 chapter for each initiative, in size categories). FRSHRM provides great programming and networking opportunities for our members, and this national recognition shows that we are doing the right things. As we gear up for what’s next in 2025, I hope you will continue to partner with Four Rivers SHRM.
